Kevon Edmonds, brother of Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, was a member of the successful vocal group After 7, known for hit singles like "Ready or Not" and "Can't Stop" in the '90s. After the group disbanded, Edmonds embarked on a solo career, achieving another Top Ten hit in 1999 with "24/7."
Growing up in Indianapolis, Edmonds was influenced by classic soul artists like Stevie Wonder and Gladys Knight.
