Kettel

Hailing from Friesland and currently residing in Groningen, Netherlands, Kettel, also known as Reimer Eising, is a classically trained pianist who has made a significant impact on the ambient and electronic music scene since the early 2000s. Initially debuting on Planet Mu in 2001, Kettel went on to release music on the renowned Clone label before establishing his own Sending Orbs label, which has left a lasting legacy in the music industry with its beloved albums.

Known for his intricate and whimsical melodies that blend elements of electronica, classical, jazz, and acid, Kettel's compositions are characterized by a unique focus on harmony and counterpoint. His ambient works, such as Volleyed Iron (2004) and Dwingeloo Life Extension (2020), showcase his experimental sonic approach, weaving together textures and samples in a dreamy manner. Beyond his music releases, Kettel has made a mark in the world of video games with contributions to popular titles like Ibb & Obb (2013) and Park Beyond (2023) and has received recognition for his bespoke compositions across various media platforms.
