Brothers Jesse and Shane Matthewson have dedicated their adult lives to spreading their manic sound globally, drawing influence from bands like Swans, Einsturzende Neubauten, and Nine Inch Nails, while adding their own desperate tone to create their signature extreme noise rock.
Emerging in the chaotic hardcore scene of the early 2000s, KEN mode gained underground notoriety in the 2010s with a series of records produced by industry heavyweights like Kurt Ballou, Matt Bayles, Steve Albini, and Andrew Schneider. Their unyielding tour schedule alongside bands such as Russian Circles, Torche, and Deafheaven solidified their place in the metal and hardcore scene.
