Keith Ape, inspired by Keith Haring and his spirit animal, made waves in 2015 with his hit "It G Ma," blending Seoul with trap music aesthetics reminiscent of Lil Uzi Vert and Flatbush Zombies. Born Dongheon Lee in South Korea, the rapper, initially known as Kid Ash, found solace in hip-hop, eventually joining the Cohort crew and gaining attention for tracks like "Hot Ninja." Following the success of "It G Ma," Keith signed with 88Rising and released the remix "It G Ma" featuring artists like A$AP Ferg and Waka Flocka Flame.

After the viral hit, Keith continued his success with tracks like "Psycho" and "Diamonds," collaborating with artists such as Rich Brian and Ski Mask the Slump God. In 2018, he dropped his debut EP, Born Again, featuring the single "Ninja Turtle" with Wifisfuneral, solidifying his place in the trap music scene.
