Roll Rida, born Rahul Kumar Velpula in Karimnagar, Telangana, India, on January 26, 1989, is a versatile artist known for his work in Telugu cinema and his viral hit "Patang." Starting his musical journey while studying at CVR College of Engineering, he gained local recognition for his singing and formed his first band. In 2013, he gained internet fame with "Patang," which amassed over 14 million views, leading to his Tollywood debut in 2015. Roll Rida, the first Telangana native to release Telugu rap music, collaborated with various artists and established himself in the industry, contributing to soundtracks for films such as "Bruce Lee," "Gopala Gopala," and more recent projects like "Cinema Bandi," "Hero," "Rowdy Boys," and "Waltair Veerayya."
