Kate Walsh

Kate Walsh, a British singer/songwriter born in 1983 in Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex, rose to fame with her second album, Tim's House, becoming the first unsigned artist to top the digital charts. Influenced by artists like Joni Mitchell and Tori Amos, Walsh's music captivated audiences with its poignant tales of love and romantic disappointment. She signed with Mercury Records in the U.K. following the success of Tim's House, which was reissued and released in the U.S. by Defend Music.

Continuing her musical journey, Walsh released Light and Dark in 2009, showcasing fuller arrangements and a focus on her voice. She followed up with Peppermint Radio, a covers album, and her fourth studio album, Real Thing, in November 2011, further solidifying her reputation as a talented and introspective musician in the indie music scene.
