He collaborated with artists on Ludacris' Disturbing tha Peace label and released his debut album This Is Me independently. K'Jon's single "On the Ocean" in 2007 brought him major success, leading to a deal with Universal Republic and chart success with the release of "I Get Around." Despite setbacks with his album Oxygen, he signed with Shanachie and released Moving On in 2012.
