Boston-based indie rock band Joy, formed by vocalist/guitarist Matt Savage and guitarist Daniel Madri from Godboy, released their self-titled debut in 2003, drawing influence from lo-fi songwriting reminiscent of Lou Barlow and the Mountain Goats, as well as Guided by Voices' balladry.
