Biography

Jowell & Randy, a Puerto Rican reggaetón duo, formed in 2001 after Jowell proposed the idea during a boxing match. In 2006, they joined reggaetón supergroup Casa de Leones, which released an album reaching No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart. The group's reworked version of "No Te Veo" achieved success, earning an ASCAP Latin Music Award in 2008. In 2011, Jowell & Randy made history as the first reggaetón artists to tour Australia. Their collaboration with Colombian artist J Balvin on the track "Bonita" in 2017 garnered international success, achieving Diamond and Platinum certifications in Mexico and Spain. Their 2020 album, Viva el Perreo, debuted at No. 5 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart, continuing their streak of Top 10 hits.
