Formed in 2001 in Geneva, New York, Gym Class Heroes blend rap, rock, R&B, and funk, showcasing musical versatility and socially conscious lyrics. The quartet, led by MC Travie McCoy and drummer Matt McGinley, gained recognition with their self-released debut album in 2001 before signing to Fueled by Ramen's Decaydance label in 2004.
