After gaining attention on MySpace, she transitioned to full-time music, living in challenging conditions in Montreal before achieving breakout success with her 2012 album, Visions. Since then, Grimes has established herself as a versatile artist, winning awards for her music videos and expanding her creative endeavors into composing, producing, and engineering.
With a global fan base and a history of sold-out performances and festival headlining, Grimes continues to push boundaries in the music industry. Alongside her music career, she has ventured into corporate surrealism and explored innovative artistic projects, including experimental eye surgery. In 2020, she released what she described as her final album centered around earthly themes.
