Gregory Alan Isakov, a musician originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, now resides in Colorado. He has released six full-length studio albums, including That Sea, The Gambler and Evening Machines, the latter of which was nominated for a Grammy award for Best Folk Album. Isakov tours internationally with his band and has collaborated with various symphony orchestras in the United States.
His most recent album, Appaloosa Bones, was released through Dualtone/Suitcase Town Music. Critics have praised Isakov's music for its evocative and elegant sound, with MOJO describing his voice as a "velvet baritone" and No Depression highlighting his ability to transform poetry into captivating music. In addition to his music career, Isakov runs Starling Farm in Boulder County, providing produce to CSA members, restaurants, and Community Food Share.
