Biography

Formed in the late '80s in South Orange, New Jersey, the Fugees, comprised of Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, and Pras Michel, found success in the mid-'90s with their second album, The Score. Released in 1996, the album achieved commercial success, reaching number one on the charts and earning two Grammy Awards in 1997 for Best Rap Album and Best R&B Vocal Performance.

After the success of The Score, the Fugees pursued solo careers, with Lauryn Hill releasing The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in 1998, which garnered critical acclaim and multiple Grammy Awards. Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel also ventured into solo projects, with Jean releasing numerous albums and producing for various artists. The Fugees briefly reunited in 2005 for a European tour but disbanded shortly after, leaving behind a lasting impact on the music industry.
