Biography

Formed in Los Angeles in 2009 by multi-instrumentalist Mark Foster, Foster the People achieved global success with their debut single "Pumped Up Kicks" in 2010. The song earned a GRAMMY® nomination and became RIAA Diamond-certified with 14x Platinum sales in the US. Their 2011 debut album, Torches, also garnered critical acclaim and success, leading to subsequent releases like Supermodel (2014) and Sacred Hearts Club (2017).

In 2024, Foster the People announced their upcoming fourth studio album, Paradise State of Mind, set to release on August 16. The band released the single "Lost in Space" as a preview of the new album, continuing their musical journey with more projects on the horizon.
