Foreigner is an English-American rock band founded in NYC in 1976 by Mick Jones, Ian McDonald, and Lou Gramm. The band gained popularity with hit singles like "Feels Like the First Time" and "Cold as Ice" from their self-titled debut album in 1977, which went platinum five times over. Their subsequent albums, including 1978's Double Vision and 1981's 4, produced more hit singles and solidified their success, with "I Want to Know What Love Is" becoming their biggest hit in 1984.
Having sold over 80 million records, Foreigner underwent a reformation in 2002 led by Mick Jones, who selected Kelly Hansen as the new lead singer.
