Fito Cabrales, former vocalist of Spanish rock band Los Platero y Tu, departed in 1998 to form his own group, Fito & Fitipaldis. Incorporating elements of soul, pop, swing, flamenco, Tex-Mex, and Latin jazz, Cabrales aimed to create emotionally rich music that resonated with a wide audience. Signing with DRO Atlantic, the band released successful albums like A Puerta Cerrada (1998) and Lo Mas Lejos, A Tu Lado (2003), achieving commercial success and extensive touring in Spain and beyond.
In 2006, Fito & Fitipaldis reached new heights with their album Por la Boca Vive el Pez, which topped the charts and went quadruple platinum. Their subsequent releases, including Antes de que Cuente Diez (2009) and Huyendo Conmigo de Mí (2014), continued the band's streak of chart-topping success in Spain. With a blend of diverse musical influences and a dedicated fan base, Fito & Fitipaldis solidified their position as one of Spain's most popular musical acts.
