Biography

Eurythmics, a successful duo formed in the early '80s, maintained chart success throughout the decade. Comprising vocalist Annie Lennox and instrumentalist Dave Stewart, the duo transitioned from synth pop to soul and R&B influences. After a hiatus in the early '90s, Eurythmics reunited periodically for recordings and tours, including the release of the single "I've Got a Life" in 2005 as part of their Ultimate Collection.

The origins of Eurythmics can be traced back to the British post-punk band the Tourists, formed by Lennox and Stewart in the late '70s. Following the dissolution of the Tourists, Lennox and Stewart continued as Eurythmics, achieving international success with hits like "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" and "Here Comes the Rain Again." Despite individual pursuits in the '90s, the duo reunited in 1999 to release the well-received album "Peace" and later included previously unreleased tracks in the Ultimate Collection in 2005.
