Deitrick Haddon

Deitrick Haddon, a contemporary gospel artist from Detroit, has made a significant impact on the genre by blending R&B, hip-hop, and soul influences into his music. He achieved mainstream success with albums like Lost & Found (2002) and Masterpiece (2015), consistently reaching number one on Billboard's Top Gospel Charts. Beyond music, Haddon has appeared in TV shows and films, including Blessed and Cursed and Preachers of L.A. In addition to his solo work, he is known for leading the group Voices of Unity and serving as pastor and music director at Detroit's Unity Cathedral of Faith.

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Deitrick Haddon grew up in a musical family and began preaching at a young age. He started his career with Voices of Unity in the mid-1990s, producing albums like Come Into This House (1995) and Live the Life (1997). Transitioning to a solo career, Haddon continued to innovate in the gospel genre with albums such as 7 Days (2006) and R.E.D. (2013). In 2020, he released the powerful single "I Can't Breathe," addressing social issues like the death of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement. Haddon's diverse musical journey culminated in the release of A Deitrick Haddon Christmas (2024) and the concert album One Night in California.
