Decyfer Down, originally known as Allysonhymn, formed in 2002 and made waves in the Christian rock scene with their debut album, End of Grey, released on Sony Records in 2006. The band's sound, characterized by a Wall of Sound approach, gained popularity with four hit singles on ChristianRock.net. Over the years, lineup changes occurred, leading to the release of their Grammy-nominated album Crash in 2009. Continuing their journey, Decyfer Down released Scarecrow in 2013 under Fair Trade Services and followed up with a compilation LP titled Anthology in 2014. In 2016, the band independently released Other Side of Darkness, their fourth studio album, after drummer Josh Oliver departed from the group.
