Richard Fearless started his music career as a resident DJ in London's Soho at the Job Club, later moving on to become a resident at the Heavenly Social where he formed Death in Vegas. The band's six albums featured collaborations with notable artists such as Dot Allison, Bobby Gillespie, Iggy Pop, and Jim Reid.

Death in Vegas gained critical acclaim with their album 'The Contino Sessions', earning a Mercury Music Prize nomination and producing hit singles like 'Aisha' and 'Scorpio Rising'.
