D:A:D, originally known as Disneyland After Dark, was founded in Copenhagen, Denmark in the early 80s by Jesper Binzer, Jacob Binzer, Stig Pedersen, and Peter Jensen. In 1999, drummer Peter Jensen was replaced by Laust Sonne. Celebrating their 40th anniversary earlier this year, the band has written 40 new songs, choosing 14 for their upcoming double album "Speed of Darkness" set to release on October 4.
