Biography

Cynthia Erivo is a multi-talented Grammy®, Emmy®, and Tony® Award-winning actress, singer, and producer who gained fame for her role in THE COLOR PURPLE on both West End and Broadway. She is set to star as Elphaba in Universal's upcoming film adaptation of WICKED alongside Ariana Grande, with Part 1 releasing on November 22, 2024, and Part 2 on November 21, 2025. Erivo has also recently appeared in the second season of POKER FACE and starred in and produced the acclaimed film DRIFT, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 22, 2023, and had a theatrical release on March 26, 2024.

In addition to her impressive acting credits, Erivo is a talented singer and songwriter, having written and recorded the original song “It Would Be” for the film DRIFT.
