Crystal Stilts, a New York-based indie rock band founded in 2003 by Brad Hargett and JB Townsend, gained recognition with their debut full-length album, Alight of Night, released in 2008 by Slumberland. The band's lineup expanded to include Kyle Forester on keyboards, Andy Adler on bass, and Frankie Rose on drums for live performances and subsequent tours. Following the departure of Frankie Rose in 2009, the band continued to evolve and released their next album, In Love with Oblivion, in 2011, followed by the Radiant Door EP on Sacred Bones mere months later. Their sound further diversified with their 2013 album, Nature Noir, which incorporated elements of soul, country, and folk, showcasing the band's musical versatility and growth.
