Southern California musician Cory Hanson has been a versatile force in the music scene, from contributing to various bands to forming the rugged psychedelia group Wand. In addition to his work with Wand and occasional collaborations with Ty Segall, Hanson explores a range of styles in his solo albums, from the introspective Pale Horse Rider to the high-energy weirdness of Western Cum.

Before Wand, Hanson played in multiple bands and released electronic pop albums as WHITE. Wand's formation in 2013 marked a period of intense focus for Hanson, with the band releasing albums and touring extensively. Hanson's solo endeavors, including The Unborn Capitalist from Limbo and Pale Horse Rider, showcased his diverse musical abilities. His latest solo effort, Western Cum, takes a new direction with guitar-heavy rockers and a wild, direct sound.
