Biography

Corneille, de son vrai nom Cornelius Nyungura, est un artiste aux multiples talents, né en Allemagne de parents rwandais. Il a commencé sa carrière musicale à Kigali avant de survivre au génocide rwandais en 1994 et de s'installer au Québec pour poursuivre ses études. En 2002, son premier album solo, Parce qu'on vient de loin, a connu un grand succès au Québec et en France, marquant le début d'une carrière musicale prolifique.

En 2016, Corneille a publié son autobiographie, Là où le soleil disparaît, dans laquelle il raconte pour la première fois son expérience du génocide rwandais et le miracle de sa survie, offrant un récit poignant de son parcours personnel et artistique.
