Citizens!

Citizens! is a London electro-indie pop quintet featuring singer Tom Burke, keyboardist Lawrence Diamond, drummer Michael Evans, bassist Martyn Richmond, and guitarist Thom Rhoades. The band's sleekly catchy sound draws inspiration from glam and Berlin-era Bowie, Sparks, Suede, and contemporary acts like Hot Chip. After their debut album in 2011, recorded with Franz Ferdinand's Alex Kapranos, Citizens! released singles like True Romance, Reptile, and Caroline, followed by their first full-length, Here We Are, in 2012. The band's 2015 album, European Soul, showcased a dancefloor-oriented, carefree pop sound with influences from '70s disco and '80s synth pop.

Previously members of Official Secrets Act, Tom Burke, Lawrence Diamond, and Michael Evans joined forces with Thom Rhoades and Martyn Richmond to form Citizens!
