Choirboys

Formed in Sydney's Northern Beaches, Choirboys emerged in the early '80s as a prominent figure in the Australian pub rock scene. Their debut album, produced by George Young of the Easybeats, garnered success with the single "Never Gonna Die," but the band faced a setback when vocalist Mark Gable suffered a vocal cord injury, leading to a three-year hiatus. Upon their return in 1987 with the album Big Bad Noise, featuring the hit single "Run to Paradise," Choirboys achieved widespread acclaim and continued to make music with varying degrees of success in the following years.

Despite initial success with Big Bad Noise, Choirboys' subsequent albums failed to reach the same heights, although they continued to release music and tour consistently. Over the years, the band experienced lineup changes and collaborated with other musicians, such as Richard Lara of the Screaming Jets and Paul Wheeler of Icehouse. In 2004, Choirboys found renewed success when a remix of their hit song "Run to Paradise" by DJ Nick Skitz went platinum. The band continued to evolve their sound, releasing their tenth album, So Easy, in 2007.
