Biography

Chingy, born Howard Bailey, Jr. on March 9, 1980, rose to fame in 2003 with the hit single "Right Thurr." He released two platinum-selling albums and gained recognition through television appearances and movie roles. Despite a brief dispute with Ludacris and a label change to Capitol imprint Slot-A-Lot, Chingy continued his success with hits like "Pullin' Me Back" in 2006.

In 2007, Chingy returned to Disturbing Tha Peace under Def Jam and released the album Hate It or Love It. While he announced plans for a new album in 2009, his commercial success waned, with subsequent releases not reaching the same heights as his earlier work.
