Biography

Hailing from the south of France, the trio Chinese Man, consisting of High Ku, Matteo & Sly, has been independently performing since their inception under their label Chinese Man Records in 2004. Drawing influences primarily from hip-hop, trip-hop, dub, electro, and reggae, the group has released two albums (Racing with the Sun in 2011 & Shikantaza in 2017) along with various collective and solo projects.

Having embarked on a concert spree in 2009, performing in venues and festivals across France and worldwide, the group marked their 10-year anniversary at the Zénith of Paris in 2014. Their ongoing tour "The Groove Sessions Live," alongside Baja Frequencia and Scratch Bandits Crew, commemorates 15 years of their musical journey. With over 600 global performances, Chinese Man's vinyl experience extends to their captivating live shows, promising an immersive and explosive experience for audiences, as they gear up for their third album in 2024.
