Cheri Dennis

In 2006, with Bad Boy Records experiencing success through new talents like Yung Joc, Cassie, and Danity Kane, as well as Diddy's own hit album, R&B vocalist Cheri Dennis emerged as the label's next rising star in 2007. Hailing from Cleveland, Dennis found her passion for singing in her grandmother's church choir at a young age before eventually relocating to New York to pursue a music career. After impressively showcasing her talent to Diddy at a party, she was quickly signed to Bad Boy Records. Despite spending five years in the background providing vocals, Dennis released her single "I Love You" in the spring of 2006, marking her official introduction as a solo artist.
