Charlene Soraia

Charlene Soraia, an alternative folk artist from London Borough of Lewisham, developed a passion for music at a young age, inspired by her father's guitar and a love for prog rock bands like King Crimson and Pink Floyd, as well as artists like David Bowie and the Beatles. Attending the BRIT School alongside future stars Adele and Kate Nash, Soraia released several solo EPs from 2006 to 2009 before gaining recognition for her cover of the Calling's "Wherever You Will Go" in a Twinings tea commercial, which reached the Top Five of the U.K. singles chart. Her debut album, Moonchild, was released in November 2011 on the Peacefrog label.
