Caught a Ghost

Caught a Ghost, a Soul/R&B project by LA-based singer and producer Jesse Nolan, draws its name from an old expression signifying "feeling the spirit" in music. Their debut album "Human Nature" in 2014 garnered widespread acclaim, with standout tracks like "No Sugar in My Coffee," "Sleeping at Night," and "Time Go" featured in numerous popular TV shows and films, including Boardwalk Empire and Dear White People. The band's music has also been highlighted in trailers, commercials, and video games like "A Way Out."

Currently, Caught a Ghost has wrapped up their upcoming album "Smoke," set for release in early 2018. The new tracks maintain the group's signature soulful sound but incorporate a grittier, more bass-driven approach, departing from vintage revivalism to showcase Nolan's influences from the LA beat scene. With a rotating lineup, the band's live performances are anchored by Nolan's childhood friend Stephen Edelstein, whose dynamic drumming style injects a high level of energy into their shows.
