Biography

Cast, a prominent guitar band from the Brit-pop era of the mid-'90s, blended a traditional British Invasion sound with a mystical lyrical style. Lead singer John Power's knack for crafting classic pop hooks led to the success of hit singles like "Fine Time," "Alright," and "Walkaway," propelling the band to popularity in Britain alongside Oasis and Blur. Formed in 1994 by Power and guitarist Liam Tyson, Cast's debut album, "All Change," produced by John Leckie, achieved Top Ten status in the UK upon its release in 1995.

With seven Top 10 singles and three Top 10 albums, Cast made their mark during the Britpop era with timeless hits like "Walkway" and "Alright." They are set to release a new single, "Love Is The Call," in Autumn 2023, followed by a new album in 2024 that promises to bridge the gap between Power's time with The La's and Cast's breakthrough debut, "All Change."
