Calle 13 is a Puerto Rican alternative hip-hop group consisting of step-brothers Residente (René Pérez Joglar) and Visitante (Eduardo José Cabra Martínez), along with sister iLe (Ileana Cabra Joglar). Their music blends various genres and themes, with notable releases including their self-titled debut in 2005, Grammy-winning album "Residente o Visitante" in 2007, and platinum-certified "Multi-Viral" in 2014. Residente and Visitante formed Calle 13 in 2004, signing with White Lion and releasing their debut album in 2005. The group gained momentum with hits like "¡Atrévete Te, Te!" and collaborations with artists like Nelly Furtado. Subsequent albums expanded their musical palette, and the members ventured into solo projects. iLe released "iLevitable" in 2016, while Visitante produced for various artists and won a Latin Grammy for Producer of the Year in 2017. In 2021 and 2022, Residente made headlines with a public feud with J Balvin and released singles addressing social and political issues. Despite solo endeavors, Calle 13 remains intact, according to Residente.
