Biography

Boyzone, Europe's most successful boy band in the late 1990s, was formed in 1993 by music manager Louis Walsh. Comprised of five Irish vocalists, including Ronan Keating and Stephen Gately, the group achieved significant popularity in the U.K., with multiple chart-topping singles. Despite limited success in the U.S., Boyzone maintained a strong following in Europe, releasing hit albums and touring extensively.

After disbanding in 2000 due to internal conflicts, Boyzone reunited in 2008 and continued to release music and tour. Tragedy struck in 2009 with the passing of Stephen Gately, but the band carried on as a four-piece, honoring his memory in subsequent releases and tours. Boyzone marked their 20th anniversary in 2013 with a successful tour and the release of their fifth studio album, BZ20. The group continued to tour and record new material, culminating in the 2018 album Thank You & Goodnight, featuring collaborations with notable songwriters.
