Formed in 2012 in Palestine, East Texas, Blacktop Mojo combines sludgy grooves, classic rock riffs, and southern metal influences to create a sound reminiscent of Soundgarden, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and ZZ Top, earning them the label of "Texas Grunge". Their music is a mix of heavy rock and roll and blues, drawing on various genres.

After their 2014 debut album "I Am", Blacktop Mojo honed their craft playing in Texas bars and venues before fully committing to their music with the recording of their second album "Burn The Ships" in 2017. Living together in a shared house in Palestine, the band cultivated a strong bond and culture of creativity that continues to drive their relentless touring and recording efforts. With multiple songs hitting the top 40 on rock charts, Blacktop Mojo's authentic live performances uphold the tradition of raw, instrument-driven rock and roll.
