Wes Borland, known for his time in Limp Bizkit, ventured into a more diverse and unconventional musical path after leaving the band in 2005. Forming Black Light Burns with former Nine Inch Nails member Danny Lohner, Borland took on lead vocals to create their debut album, Cruel Melody, released in 2007 under producer Ross Robinson's label. Despite lineup changes for touring, the band released their second album, The Moment You Realize You're Going to Fall, in 2012, showcasing Borland's musical versatility beyond his previous hard rock roots.
