Bertie Higgins

Bertie Higgins gained recognition for his hit single "Key Largo" in the early '80s, marking his transition from a professional musician to a successful solo artist. After retiring in 1968 following the breakup of his band, the Roemans, he returned with his debut album, Just Another Day in Paradise, in 1982. "Key Largo" became a Top Ten hit, propelling Higgins back into the music scene. Despite releasing subsequent albums like Then and Now in 1994, Higgins remained relatively quiet until 2003 when a collection of re-recorded songs, Key Largo, was released by Collectables, followed by Brazilia in 2003 and Captiva in 2009 on Key Largo Records and Toucan Cove/Universal, respectively.
