Bedrock

The duo of John Digweed, a renowned DJ, and Nick Muir, a lesser-known producer, release music under the name Bedrock, which is also the name of their record label and Digweed's U.K. club. They gained attention in 1996 with their appearance on the Trainspotting soundtrack with the song "For What You Dream Of." Their biggest hit came in 1999 with "Heaven Scent," which became a major electronic dance record of the '90s. Following this success, they released "Voices" in 2000 with various remixes, and the compilation Beautiful Strange in 2001.

John Digweed's DJing career took off thanks to high-profile collaborations and successful albums, which increased anticipation for Bedrock's music. The duo's early releases like the Set in Stone/Forbidden Zone EP in 1997 were modest successes, but "Heaven Scent" in 1999 became a standout hit. The track appeared on various DJ mix albums and compilations, solidifying their place in the electronic music scene. Subsequent releases like "Voices" in 2000 and the compilation Beautiful Strange in 2001 further established Bedrock's presence in the industry.
