Battle Tapes

Los Angeles-based Battle Tapes blend 80’s electronica and darkwave influences to create an accessible electronic rock sound reminiscent of Depeche Mode and Nine Inch Nails. Since their formation in 2010, the band has cited Depeche Mode, Massive Attack, and Daft Punk as key inspirations, influencing their meticulously programmed live performances and cross-genre style. Their debut EP in 2012 featured the hit single ‘Feel the Same’, which gained popularity after being prominently featured in the video game Grand Theft Auto V, helping them build a devoted fanbase. Subsequent releases, including the album Polygon (2015) and EP Form (2017), along with remixes for artists like Childish Gambino and Phantogram, solidified their reputation in the genre and led to appearances at major festivals alongside acts such as AWOL Nation, Imagine Dragons, and Elohim.

In 2022, Battle Tapes released singles ‘If Only’ and ‘In Too Deep’ to high acclaim, building anticipation for their upcoming second album, Texture. The band's evolution and continued success have established them as a leading force in electronic rock, showcasing their ability to merge retro influences with a contemporary edge and maintain a strong connection with their fans.
