Biography

Los Angeles-based producer Will Wiesenfeld, known as Baths, blends fantasy and reality in his innovative electronic pop music. Starting with the glitchy pop of Cerulean in 2010, his sound evolved to darker, more emotional depths with releases like Obsidian in 2013 and Romaplasm in 2017. Baths continued this trend of emotional depth and experimental soundscapes on the confessional Pop Music/False B-Sides II in 2020, leading up to the raw exploration of sexuality and personal struggles on 2025's GUT.

A classically trained musician from Los Angeles, Wiesenfeld's early exposure to piano led him to experiment with electronic music genres as a teenager. Inspired by artists like Björk, he developed a unique production style blending everyday sounds with electronic elements and live instruments. Under the Baths moniker, Wiesenfeld gained recognition with the debut album Cerulean in 2010 and continued to push boundaries with projects like Geotic and collaborative efforts with artists like Daedelus. His journey through illness, musical exploration, and personal growth culminated in the introspective and sonically rich album GUT in 2025, showcasing Baths' fearless exploration of identity and emotion.
