Barricada

Formed in the early '80s, Spanish heavy metal band Barricada, led by singer/bassist Enrique "El Drogas" Villareal, made their live debut in 1982. Following lineup changes, the band released their debut album, Noches de Rock & Roll, in 1983. Tragically, drummer Mikel Astrain passed away in 1984, leading to the release of the tribute song "Pon Esa Música de Nuevo" on their second album, Barrio Conflictivo. Barricada continued to evolve, signing with PolyGram and releasing albums like No Se Que Hacer Contigo and Rojo in the late '80s, as well as a self-titled double album recorded live in 1990.
