Bark Psychosis

Bark Psychosis, a group that emerged from humble beginnings as a Napalm Death cover band, quickly evolved into one of the most innovative artists of their time. Led by vocalist Graham Sutton, bassist John Ling, and drummer Mark Simnott, the British outfit defied categorization with their blend of moody pop, ambient soundscapes, and experimental music, prompting critic Simon Reynolds to coin the term "post-rock" to describe their groundbreaking sound. Despite their limited output and media attention, Bark Psychosis left a lasting impact on the music scene.

Formed in 1986 in Snaresbrook, England, Bark Psychosis gained momentum with releases like the "Clawhammer" flexi-disc and singles like "All Different Things" and "Nothing Feels." Their 1992 ambient masterpiece, Scum, showcased their musical growth, while the highly acclaimed Hex solidified their reputation. Despite internal changes and the eventual dissolution of the band in 1997, Bark Psychosis continued to influence the music landscape, with members pursuing projects like Boymerang and preparing for the release of Codename: Dustsucker in 2004.
