Biography

Philadelphia-based R&B group Az Yet gained recognition in the late '80s and landed a record deal with LaFace after catching the attention of Babyface. Their debut single "Last Night," produced by Babyface and Mervyn Warren, became a chart-topping hit in 1996, propelling their self-titled album to platinum status by mid-1997. Despite facing challenges like lineup changes and periods of inactivity, Az Yet continued to perform and record, releasing their second album, She's Magic, in 2016 under the Goldenlane label. Their a cappella rendition of Chicago's "Hard to Say I'm Sorry" earned the group a Grammy nomination and reaffirmed their place in the music industry.
