Austrian Death Machine, a side project of As I Lay Dying's Tim Lambesis, channels Arnold Schwarzenegger's persona into a collection of metal songs inspired by the actor's film quotes. Initially featuring Schwarzenegger samples, the vocals were later re-recorded by Chad Ackerman to avoid legal issues, with guest appearances by Nick Hipa and Adam Dutkiewicz on guitar solos. Metal Blade Records signed the band and released their debut album, Total Brutal, in 2008, showcasing a blend of humor and heavy music.
