Athena

Athena is a Turkish ska/punk rock band that rose to prominence in the late '90s due to their unique sound and energetic live performances. Founded by brothers Gokhan and Hakan Ozoguz in the late '80s, the band quickly gained popularity in Turkey with their debut album "Holigan" in 1998. Known for their strong adaptations of Turkish folk songs and charismatic frontman, Athena's music resonated with a wide audience, leading to their success as one of the country's best-selling rock bands.

Following the success of "Holigan," Athena continued to release albums such as "Tam Zamani Simdi" in 2000 and "Her Sey Yolunda" in 2002, showcasing a mix of crowd-pleasing hits and darker themes. The band's participation in events like the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004 and collaborations with sports teams further solidified their place in the music scene. With a self-titled album in 2005 and subsequent releases, Athena evolved their sound to appeal to a new generation of fans while maintaining a loyal following in Turkey and beyond.
