Biography
Arlindo Cruz's musical career began with his debut on Candeia's album Roda de Samba, where his song "Liçao de Malandragem" was featured. He later joined the renowned samba group Fundo de Quintal, collaborating with fellow musician Sombrinha on multiple successful albums. Cruz's solo career took off with the release of his LP Arlindinho in 1992, showcasing his talent as a singer and songwriter. His compositions, including hits like "Só Pra Contrariar," gained popularity through interpretations by notable artists such as Beth Carvalho, Alcione, and Zeca Pagodinho. Additionally, Cruz contributed to the samba enredo "E Verás Que Um Filho Teu Não Foge À Luta" for the Império Serrano samba school.
