Anthony Daasan

Anthony Dasan is a versatile Tamil playback singer and solo artist whose music blends folk, electronica, and rock. Born on April 26, 1977, in Tamil Nadu, India, Dasan's musical journey began in his village of Reddipalayam, where he performed at home and in church. He gained recognition as a playback singer with his debut in the 2008 film "Dindigul Sarathy," and went on to contribute to numerous films during the 2010s. Dasan's band, Anthonyin Party, mixed traditional Tamil folk with contemporary electronica, achieving national success. Alongside his singing career, Dasan also excelled as a composer, notably in films like 2016's "Aviyal" and 2021's "MGR Magan," and made appearances as an actor in movies such as 2018's "Tagaru" and 2019's "Jackpot."
