Songwriter, arranger, and background vocalist Anthony Brown emerged in 2012 with Anthony Brown & group therAPy, following years of contributing to hit gospel albums. Starting as Answered Prayers in 2000, the group evolved into group therAPy and gained recognition through performances on BET's Celebration of Gospel specials. Their self-titled debut in 2012 featured collaborations with artists like Maurette Brown Clark and VaShawn Mitchell. Their subsequent releases, Everyday Jesus in 2015 and A Long Way from Sunday in 2017, both achieved number one status on the Billboard gospel charts, solidifying Brown's position in the gospel music scene.
