Anni B Sweet, also known as Ana López, hails from Málaga and emerged as a Spanish indie folk-pop artist singing in English, reminiscent of her contemporary Russian Red. After winning the Mondo Sonoro demo contest in 2008, she signed with Subterfuge Records and released her acclaimed debut album, Start, Restart, Undo, in 2009, drawing comparisons to Cat Power, Norah Jones, and Regina Spektor. Following a successful tour and promotional run in 2011, Anni B Sweet released her sophomore album, Oh Monsters!, in May 2012, showcasing her evolving musical style and international appeal.
